- Transforming Senate House Library
Special Collections offers a wide range of material for use in classes and seminars, giving students invaluable experience of viewing and handling original material. The following areas are particularly well covered for teaching purposes:
- We have a guide to manuscript facsimiles, medieval manuscript books and fragments with examples of a range of scripts.
- Modern literary manuscripts
- Historical bibliography, including examples of western printing, book binding, illustration and design, and evidence of provenance from the 15th to the 21st century
- Victorian publications
Please consult our Collections pages for more information on holdings. Staff can provide advice on the availability of material in particular fields. Classes are held in Library’s seminar rooms and a full range of audio-visual facilities are available. Please contact us for further information on arranging a class.
