The Jean-François Durieux Scholarship

The Ƶ has established a prestigious Jean-François Durieux Scholarship for the MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies by distance-learning.

This award is named to celebrate the achievements of the renowned refugee scholar and practitioner Jean-François Durieux on his retirement from the field. Jean-François has been a close supporter of, and teacher on, the MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies its inception. As a friend and colleague, he also contributed substantially to the work of the Refugee Law Initiative in pushing the boundaries of the research agenda and helping to develop international collaborations across this field.  

The Jean-François Durieux Scholarship will be awarded in October 2024. This scholarship seeks to support an outstanding student who might not otherwise be able to gain access to the MA in Refugee Protection and is resident in a country in the Middle East or Latin America:
