Your legal rights

As a student you are a ‘consumer’ of education and are entitled to protection within the law.

When you complete your registration with us, you are entering into a contract with the University (see the Student Terms and Conditions). Because you are doing this remotely, i.e. there has been no face-to-face contact between us, you may change your mind and cancel your registration. You must do this within 14 days of registering, or within 14 days of having access to your programme materials, whichever is later.

Use the to tell us. We will then refund any payments you have made to us within 14 days.

If your course materials have been sent to you, we will need these to be returned to us before the refund is made. This is explained further in the resources and study materials section.

Changes to your programme

From time to time we may have to make minor changes to your programme. When we do this it is because we believe they will improve the quality of the student learning experience or because it is a requirement of an accrediting body. We will notify you when this happens.

If we have to make a change to the programme that will have a significant impact on your studies, or if we are forced to cancel a programme because of circumstances beyond our control, you may withdraw from the programme without paying any additional fees. We may refund any programme fees you have paid to date.

You will find more details about this, and which fees are eligible for a refund, in the Refund and compensation policy.
