The aim of this module is to enable students to understand the principles and practices that should underlie water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions, in order to maximise health and social benefits.This module is intended for those who wish to understand the principles of water, sanitation and hygiene promotion interventions for public health in low-income settings.

Please note: For the MSc Health in Humanitarian Crises programme, this module is not available to study as an individual module.

Assessment

2hr 15 unseen written examination (70%) and an assessed assignment comprising a 2500 word essay (30%).

If you fail the module, you are allowed one further attempt at the failed element (examination and/ or assignment).
