The regular Experiences in Digital Learning webinars from the Centre for Online and Distance Education provide the opportunity to explore the rapid innovations and changes we are seeing in digital learning, teaching and assessment. Our next Experiences in Digital Learning webinar takes place on Thursday 7 December 2023, 14.00 – 15.00 GMT. In this webinar we will explore students’ perspectives of how online engagement contributed to their educational journey, what worked well for them and their suggestions for improvements.
If you teach online, you will likely engage with students from the perspective of the subject matter. Intentional design of online programmes sets out ways of engaging yet often time does not allow for meta-analysis of how students are learning or whether the structure works for them. End of module feedback is one opportunity to surface student reflections; however, nothing compares to hearing directly from students themselves. This session will focus on engaging directly with students with the aim of offering a space for them to share their insights directly with participants.
Dr Margaret Korosec, Dean of Online and Digital Education at the University of Leeds and new CODE Fellow, will facilitate the conversation among a panel of current students and recent graduates of online degrees at Leeds University:
