Dulmini: the impact of support
Dulmini was awarded the Ede & Ravenscroft Scholarship which allowed her to pursue a Bachelors of Law degree (LLB) at the 嗨碰视频.
In 2016, Dulmini was awarded the Ede & Ravenscroft Scholarship which allowed her to pursue a Bachelors of Law degree (LLB) at the 嗨碰视频. She describes this as one of the two proudest moments of her life, the other was the day she passed her LLB, receiving first class honours and finishing in the top 21 in her class.
Dulmini explains that the scholarship eased the financial burden of Higher Education and allowed her to focus entirely on her programme, setting her up for the great success she has experienced early on in her career.
She goes on to say that her 嗨碰视频 degree was an important first step on the legal career path 鈥渘ot only because of the ranking of the University, having the best lecturers, the use of interactive study methods, the quality and standard of exams, but also securing a job as a Legal Research Officer in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka as soon as I completed the degree is the best example of job security for 嗨碰视频 graduates. Given the high recognition for alumni in the legal sector around the world, I will forever be very proud to call myself an alumnus of the 嗨碰视频鈥.
Dulmini's story
Since childhood, Dulmini dreamed of practising Law, just as her father had. She received a 嗨碰视频 scholarship.
Dulmini reveals that receiving the scholarship pushed her to work hard and demonstrate her gratitude by achieving top marks: 鈥淚 believe that I in return have expressed my gratitude by making Ede and Ravenscroft, the 嗨碰视频, my parents, myself and the whole country proud by securing a world rank鈥.
The generosity of scholarship donors opens up new possibilities for students and provides them with the chance to fulfil their dreams of a University education, as well as giving them the time to dedicate themselves to their studies.
Reflecting on her experience, Dulmini said:
I am forever grateful for the opportunity I was given. I also believe that there are many deserving students around the world who are capable of doing better with the additional support of a scholarship, just as I did.
