This special edition in the Distinguished Speaker series marks Black History Month at the 嗨碰视频 and features internationally acclaimed actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, known for his roles in Lost, Oz, and Suicide Squad and most recently, he starred in The Union on Netflix alongside Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg.
Adewale will share his unique perspective on the importance of cultural identity and representation. He will discuss how storytelling can advance racial equality, drawing from his upbringing in the UK鈥攁 story poignantly captured in his autobiographical film "Farming." This film narrates the journey of a young Nigerian boy, 'farmed out' by his parents to a white British family in the hope of a better future.
Furthermore, Adewale will delve into this year鈥檚 theme for Black History Month, 鈥淩eclaiming Narratives.鈥 This theme emphasises recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture, shining a brighter light on Black stories.
